It was fantastic!

Regardless of the reviews, the odd costumes and the relevancy of the movie and marriage, it was still a great movie! Who cares if it had a message that is true/not of what marriage is or if the outfits were outrageous, or if the plot was a little different. It was ssooo good. I loved it. I have no complaints.

I have a bit of a busy weekend coming up. Tonight I WILL move my big furniture items and get everything packed up! Tomorrow I WILL paint my room. Sunday my brother Graduates from High School. And Monday I move into my new house.

It's like Christmas in May!

Last night I woke up at 2:00 AM and I was seriously dying of thirst! Too bad I am in the process of moving and I don't have any food or drinks in my house! Luckily I did have a slightly above room temperature powerade to drink. I drank half the bottle! It was not very delicious but it got the job done.

Then I saw that my favorite (one of them!) movie was on! So of course I started watching it! I used to own the movie, but it grew legs and ventured off. So I watched it - most all of it before I fell back asleep. I was happy to watch it...not so happy to be up in the middle of the night. But hey, I'm young, so why not? 7:00 AM comes very soon after 2:00 AM though...

AAANNNNNDDDDD TODAY IS THE DAY!!!!! It is finally here! I said to Brandon this morning, "Thanks for being with me on the best day of the year," (haha) And I think he got scared that it was our anniversary. But I told him today is the day that SATC2 finally hits theaters! He rolled his eyes at me. He just doesn't understand :) :) :) I am channeling my inner SATC character, Charlotte (duh!), and I am wearing my black maxi dress, some killer wedges! I can hardly sit through my work day! I am excited to eat dinner and get margarita's with some friends and then see the show!

Despite the bad reviews I know the movie is going to be fantastic!

T-Minus 4 days...

Since today is almost over I am not counting it. There 4 days until I can move into my new house. Which I went to today and met with my landlord. My room is waayy smaller than I remembered. I don't know where my 50" TV is going to fit, my queen sized bed and Coopers cage! Gah! I guess Brandon and I will have to get crafty (he is super clever, so it should work out!) on how to make everything fit! But I am really excited to move into a new house...hopefully the last time I will ever have to share a house with girls. My next move with be a move into a place with Brandon!!! So weird - That we are almost at that point in our lives!! But none-the-less this move will be interesting!

I really need to get a better move on moving out of my current house. humph. I have to clean the stove out, clean the living room, my bathroom and my room. SO much to do, so little time!

I will do some tonight, but nothing tomorrow because SEX AND THE CITY 2 comes out! Waaahhhooo!! And then I will do more Friday and Saturday but Sunday my  baby brother graduates from high school! Gosh I can't believe it's already time for him to graduate. And then Monday is moving day! My current landlords gave me until Wednesday to make sure all is cleaned up and tidy. So that's nice. They seriously are the best. I will miss them!

I am also going on a trip! Yep. I leave June 6th for Catholic Heart Work camp to Mississippi.  It will be a neat adventure. I am nervous and pondering why I said "yes" to going. But I know I will have a great time. I will just miss Brandon and Cooper a whole lot! Plus I will be on this trip with people I don't know at all! That's the worst part. But oh well. I know the big man will be with me.

These little suckers are seriously the best things since sliced bread. Since last Wednesday (when I discovered them) I have eaten FOUR regular sized bags. I am so ashamed, but I can't help it. They are perfectly delicious! A little salty a little sweet, they satisfy my sweet tooth to the max!!! mmmm.... I am so happy that I was able to find them in big bags....I stocked up. Whoohoo!

Tonight though, I have to do my Wii Fit work out! I HAVE TO!

I also have to watch last nights season premier of The Bachelorette, which I missed because I was with Brandon!!! Gosh I am a sucker for T.V.

And I just got a compliment on my hair cut...made me feel special. Because I have been hating it lately. Ughh, why do I always think short hair is cute? It isn't.

Summer time blues

I feel like pouting for a minute. I feel like pouting because I am stuck here in my big girl office working 8:30-5, M-F and today it is 99 degrees out, sunny and perfect! I am stuck here, at work.

...Which I hate.

The guys have the air on, which is making me cold. I have my space heater on to warm my toes and to trick me into believing the windows are open. I hate guys and their love of AC. I am a little girl, I need warmth!

I would be perfectly content living in 90 degree weather everyday! If I never saw another snowflake I would be A'OKAY! Actually, I would be more than Ok...I would be in weather heaven!  I am a hot weather girl, through and through. And I am p.a.l.e. so some sunshine would do me good!

Maybe I can spend some time outside after work. That would be great. And read a book, that would be great too!


I am taking my laundry to Brandon's new house, he has a washer and dryer. I don't. And in my new house that I am moving into next week...I have to PAY to use the machines! Paying for water and use of the machines! Crazy!

Ughh...I think work just puts me in a bad mood...and being stuck inside on gorgeous days. Why does growing up have to suck so bad. Good thing I want to be a high school guidance counselor.

And I am totally moving somewhere warm. Back to my homeland! I was born in Fayetteville, NC! :) Wilmington looks like a nice location too!

Weekend!

I had a really really nice weekend.

My best friend, Jessica, came to visit! We have been best friends since high school and went to different colleges, well everyone knows how that can go. It was a long distance relationship and was hard to keep in touch with our busy schedules. We both went different ways, made new friends and saw each other less and less. That sucked, but it's kind of how things work...but whenever we do see each other its like NOTHING ever changed! I love this girl so much, she truly is my best friend. She is thoughtful and fun, creative and unique. She is the best friend to me. While we do have our difference I don't know what friendship doesn't. She spent the past semester in Italy and we really had limited contact. I am so happy she came up here to visit me! I loved hearing all about her European adventures and her sexy new romance with a French man. She totally deserved that perfect semester over seas. I had the greatest day with her too! It was so refreshing to be around her. A true friend! Despite everything we have been through we are still BEST FRIENDS! I know she will always be there for me, and I am going to work harder to always be there for her too! Sometimes I need to work on my best friend skills.

And today...today was nothing special. I was actually lazier than I was supposed to be. But  I did get some packing done, and furniture moved. Tomorrow I will be painting! Moving in 9 days! 

The old days...

So I was on The Knot this morning which always leads to a trip over to The Nest, they sometimes have good blogs and tips and tricks. While there I saw an article of sorts with the title "Link Love: Around the 'Net This Week." One of the Link Love's was to a blog called "Im Remembering" Naturally I was intrigued and took a look. SOOO many memories and feelings came rushing back when I saw these things from my childhood. Not that my childhood was long ago, but it kind of was. Guess I am growing up now! Here are some shows/candy/things from my childhood that I loved! Some I remembered from her site others are all my own! Ahh the memories!

Fruit Stripe Gum...I always called it Zebra Gum. I mean a fun colored gum, a delicious flavor and tattoos on the wrappers! What child wouldn't love this stuff!

Tale Spin... Holy Cow! This was my favorite. I remember my Dad and I would watch it in the morning and it was the always the BEST! I found this image from amazon.com and I am really considering buying the series. They have it on DVD for pretty cheap. I love it! What a fantastic show!

Rescue 911... Watching this show was always a family affair. I cant remember if it came on before of after dinner but my family was always hunkered down in front of the tube. That show was always so excited, and didn't they have great acting! haha. I really liked it. And plus host William Shatner...thats just perfection!

I am in for a long weekend. It's almost time to move out of my house and into another one. So that means cleaning, packing and painting! I just can't wait...haha not!

Likey the new background and colors?

I DO! I hated the old generic background, so I found a new one! I like this one, the simplicity and the simple pattern in the back ground. I love the salmon-ish background but it was hard to match font colors with it. I think these will work.

So my car, Sonny, her breaks went out yesterday. They had been griding for about two weeks now and finally yesterday they snapped. Literally. The front right break pad snapped and fell out of my car. Yikes! Luckily though Brandon did a temporary fix. He changed the pads and this week (today or tomorrow) we are going to get my rotors changed. Grr...I hate car things! Poor Sonny she is covered in bird shit and broken.

Anyhooo....So after I posted the post on John Travolta, it was announced that their family is growing! Congratulations to him and his wife and their daughter Ella. I really like them. They deserve this! Read the article on People.com!

Tonight is the season finale of Grey's Anatomy! I am so nervous, but really excited! I am  not sure if I will get to watch it or if it will be Tivo'ed. But still I can't wait to view it! Also my other favorite show One Tree Hill...which I have not been watching for about a year now, because my class schedule has interfered had its season finale last night! It had one crazy ending, I can't wait to catch up on the season to to find out what really has been happening!

And does this image just make your heart skip a beat...Mine sure is skipping! Just one more week left!!

PS...Tuesday night I had chocolate milk with dinner, Wedesday morning I had chocolate milk and this morning I had cholocate milk! YAY for me!  But I have only played Wii Fit once. Boo. :(

Oceanography

When I was little I wanted to grow up to be a lot of different things, one job aspiration I had was to be an oceanographer. I have a strong love for the beach but I am terrified of sea things! I do enjoy a fun dolphin when I see them (I love swimming with them too!) I even love to pet the occasional sting ray...but other than that I'm not big on things that swim. Fish are gross and they have teeth and I know they think its funny to swim past your leg. It's not funny, not at all. Every time I'm at the beach I can't help but be a little scared of what is lurking in the water below me. The five times I have snorkeled in my life, last time I was 17, every time I ended up in tears. SOBBING tears. Probably because I have a mean little brother and dad that thinks it is funny to scare me. Well it's not. I'm a baby, I admit it.

So i guess it's a good thing my dream of being an oceanographer died after my first interaction with a jelly fish.

But I read this article, typical I know, on Yahoo! about the ocean. It's about how Big the ocean is. Apparently it's a lot smaller than originally presumed. I found it interesting. Who knew! The ocean is a vast body with lots still to be searched and discovered! But good thing I am not studying to be an oceanographer, I don't want to do all that searching!

My heart literally sank when I saw this headline on People, "John Travolta's Dogs Tragically Killed At Maine Airport." Poor John!!! He can seriously not catch a break. First his son, now his dogs. So so sad. Go HERE to read the article. Its pretty brief.


On another note, let me mention how fantastic my boyfriend is....today he bought and made me hot pockets for lunch...it's the little things people! And now he is doing my laundry while I am at work. :) Isn't he the best? I just love him. Thanks Boyfriend.

Another post today....

So I read a lot of blogs...I'm talking a lot of blogs. I said in my very first post that they inspire me. They truly do. I just got done looking through a blog that I found through another blog (one I read on a regular basis). And I am inspired.

Life is so sweet, fragile, and short. It can be taken away or altered at any moment. LIVE IT. LIVE LIFE!!

I feel like I am constantly worrying or complaining or not satisfied. I am always wanting more. More friends, more dates, more money, more clothes, more more more!

If I would just stop moaning and groaning and open my eyes to see all the gifts around me, I would not need more.

So consider my eyes opened. I am going to work on my complaining and constantly feeling sorry for myself. So what if a few things in life didn't work out. So what if high school sucked, I am graduating college next year, high school no longer matters. So what if a few friends turned out to be not so friendly. That doesn't matter.

You know what does matter....

I made the Dean's List this semester (waahhhooo!!). I have two parents that love each other, my brother and I very very very much. I have two grandmothers and one grandfather that are amazing. I have pets...Peyton and Eli (dogs) and my bunny Cooper (all three Manning brothers, clever.).  My baby brother is graduating high school in a couple of weeks. I have had this fantastic boy crazy in love with ME for five years. I have a job. I am healthy. I am young. I am happy.

Time to live life. Yesterday I said "here's to a healthy summer," Today, here's to a healthy and happy summer. A summer remembering the good in life. Loving life. Living life. Not worrying, not complaining, not crying. Here is to life!

To a healthy summer!

Today marks day 1 of my step towards a healthier lifestyle. 

I am going to eat less chips and more fruit. More water and less Pepsi. I am going to be active every day! 

I am going to play Wii Fit and do Jillian Michaels Yoga video. By no means am I fat or need to loose any weight (well maybe a little weight. 5 lbs.)...but I do need to do some major toning up! I have ZERO muscle...ZERO!! I could not even do a push up the other day. Sad. So here goes nothing.

My addiction in full swing.

So Thursday nights are my favorite nights. Like I have mentioned before I am a total TV Junkie. And Thursday nights are the BEST nights for my TV addiction. Plus they are all on ABC..so I never even have to change the channel. I am so lazy!

The first show on my list is Flash Forward. A really fantastic new show. Its really exciting and I never know what is going to happen next! But I have heard a rumor that it's getting cancelled...I sure hope not!

After Flash Forward is Greys! Next week is the TWO HOUR season finale, and it (as always) looks really intense! AHH...there is a shooter in the hospital and they have positioned the preview to make it seem like someone will die!!!!! AHHHHH!!!

Then we have Private Practice! I love this show, mainly because of Taye Diggs, so sexy and I think Kate Walsh is one of the sexiest females around. Mostly because of her Bad Ass attitude. Love it! And last night was the season finale (I hate season finales!!) Someone always dies, RIP Dell, and its always really sad! But some good things happened too. Hopefully next season will continue on with a really steam love affair between Addison and Sam! That would be perfect! :)

Well Brandon came over to hang out last night, not realizing it was Thursday. needless to say he was less than thrilled about my TV night. Because of course there is no talking allowed during show time. He was not happy. Guess we'll have to do something fun tonight. Maybe go to the movies? Who knows!

Rain Rain go away.

So I did not get that much studying done last night. But I did have a fantastic evening. Due to the hectic-ness of finals and work and life, I had not seen my boyfriend since SATURDAY! We went 3 whole days apart...lol. Silly I know, but it seemed like a lifetime. So yesterday he completed his finals and offered to take me out. Being the crazy girl I am, said YES! So I put my books aside and we went to dinner. To Buffalo Wild Wings, we needed beer. We had so much fun. If I could stand to do it I would not see Brandon for 3 days at a time all the time! We just had so much to talk about and share with each other. And that first hug and kiss were perfect! Gosh it seemed like we were apart for ages! ha. I am so ridiculous. Then we went back to his house and he watched the Black Hawks game with a couple friends while I looked over my notes.

So while yesterday was fantastic, and much needed, I am feeling the pressure of one: still being at work today while I have a final tonight, and two: trying to cram in some studious activity. I am a little more than nervous!

I did figure though that I need A's on both my paper and my final to get an A in the class. Since there are only 4 assignments and 400 points I need to do pretty well. One bad-ish grade could send me far away from the A I want. We'll see if I get it or not.

I can't wait to be done.


And its raining and my umbrella is in my car. What good is an umbrella in the car? None!

I feel like posting again...

I am in a particularly good mood today, and I want to share some favorite things!

Pandora Radio...yeah the forty free hours of music limitation can be a bugger, but I have so many stations and I love them all. My favorite stations, though, are...Norah Jones, The Goo Goo Dolls, and No Doubt's Don't Speak. Perfection.

Rolo Candy! mmmm so delicious. I just ate a handful. Made my taste buds so happy!

Music! I feel like there are some great songs being played on the radio this month. I hope they don't get over-played. Nothing more annoying than that. Need you now, used to be a favorite of mine. Now I change the station when it comes on. :'( But I really like.... O.M.G. by Usher, Break your Heart by Taio Cruz, Young Forever by Jay-Z, and Bulletproof by La Roux. Yeah Yeah I know...all typical radio songs. Whatever. I also popped in a CD I haven't listened to in a while, and fell in love all over again.

Wedding Websites...errhhh....anything wedding! I am that girl who has been dreaming/planning of her wedding since I first learned what a wedding was, it's not totally planned...you have to be able to adjust to changing times and new ideas! I used to want a big elaborate wedding, but now I am thinking destination. Romantic, sandy, and small-ish. That sounds nice to me. These are my favorite websites,

I love my wedding planning internship with So Chic and my buddy Melissa is a photography in San Diego! I am so envious of her!I dream of warm days and neat little places. Peoria doesn't offer much of that!  I love to keep up with the trends and see people in love. There is nothing better than my next favorite thing....

I got a 97% on my final this morning! Wahooo!! I am really pumped. SO far I have three A's and one B. I have one more final tomorrow....will I have four A's and one B or three A's and two B's? I don't know it all depends on tomorrow! AAAHH...please I really want four A's!! 

Tomorrow's exam will be pretty hard, and I have to turn in a 10 page paper in the same class. Really hoping for a lot of points!

 I am really looking forward to tomorrow evening. I will be alll done with the semester!

After Wednesday I have to start packing up my room and preparing to move out and into a new house! 21 days until move in day! That seems a lot farther away that I thought. weird.

I am wishing for the warm weather to come back. So far May has been a little chilly. I am sitting at work with my space heater on. I am cold!

*I really hate that "a lot" is two words. Every time I type it good 'ole spell check catches me! It should be one word.

Happy First Five Years!! Love you!

Well after spending about 2 hours at the CU Humane Society yesterday we left empty handed. Cooper met 5 different bunnies. We were trying to match him up with one, while also matching me too! I after all will be the momma, I have to like it too!

The first bunny we met, was the  one I had been eyeing on the website. She is a gorgeous lop bunny, like Coop, and is about his age. Well she was just a big fluffy grouch! First off she was HUGE...way bigger than Cooper, who weighs about 5 lbs. And she was just not feeling me or Cooper.
Then the funniest looking bunny was brought in, Hanna an Angora bunny mix. Oh lordy did she make me chuckle. She had a lion mane, and was a real pretty grey color. I would have re-named her mamaw! She looked just like a grandma! But she was a little too hyper-active for me and another lady was looking at her and decided to take her home.

Then, the tiniest little bunny, weighing in at about 1 lbs. and only 6 mo. old was little Lilly. She was the sweetest and softest bunny ever, she nuzzled up to me, my heart melted and I was sold. Then we put her down, and she mounted Cooper and began to hump hump hump away! That little lady has yet to be fixed! Then they started to fight. :( Lilly also maybe has some medical issues. She is being fixed today, and having some issues (mainly her eye) checked out. So next week when I go back, we might try her again if she is still available. She was so adorable.But on my college budget I am not sure I could handle any medical bills if she needed them.

Then we met with a bunny, that was so lovable, but really hated Cooper. She attacked him, and it was Bye Bye to her!

 Then...my favorite of the day was Abby. Abby is five years old (a little older than what I wanted.) But she was sweet as pie. She was so elegant and beautiful I just fell in love. But by this time, she was Coopers 5th bunny- he was hungry and tired and I could tell he didn't want to make anymore friends. So we called it a day. I plan on going back next Thursday to see the selection and try Abby and Lilly again, if they are still available.

I had a great day hanging out with my mom and meeting new creatures, plus the people at the CU Humane Society are just fantastic! They are so helpful, informative and friendly!  Please consider adopting animals from shelters, check out your local humane society. They are really fantastic!

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

So I am sitting here at 7:50 on study day and I have yet to do one single thing. I do have somewhat of an excuse...I had to "work" today. I never went into the office but we had a meeting at the AFO (agent field office) and then had our Spring Staff party...'twas all sorts of fun. Did have a margarita though! A strawberry one, with strawberry bits n pieces. So yummy! Then I had another meeting.
 Now I am trying to write a 10 page paper on the Smucker's Commercials. I don't even have Microsoft Word open yet... ugghh...It wouldn't be that bad, since it's due next Wednesday. But I have a final Tuesday and a final Wednesday plus Mother's Day is this weekend so I will be loosing a lot of valuable weekend time to spend time with mi madre and mi abuela. : ) So it's a good waste of time, but still it might hurt me in the long run. Especially because tomorrow I am going to find a new friend for Cooper!!! I just can't take it anymore, Cooper is being so bad he might not return from the humane society tomorrow! He is driving me insane, hopefully a friend will pull him out of his slump! I am loyal to the Champaign-Urbana Humane Society so I will be driving down there tomorrow afternoon with Cooper, then getting my momma and we will be visiting with new bun-buns!  This makes me really excited, but it also makes me miss Penelope so much. I am very sad we are in this situation, but I am happy to rescue another animal and give them a good home. Hopefully I will find a cuddle bunny that will love me.

Malibu Barbie Bimbo

Is what my nail color should be called.  I swear I  need a companion when picking out nail colors. My nails need to be re-painted ASAP. My nail lady will now be acquiring a new bottle of OPI. The bottle looks like it has a splash of berry or something, but no it is BARBIE pink, and the top coat is so lustrous - and that makes it worse! It's cute on my toes, but "I Don't Know Beets Me" Is not a color for my nails.

Anyways...The wedding this weekend was perfect! The rain stayed away and everyone was happy! That's all we can ask for! :-) I also had a great day hanging out with one of my bestest friends, which is always a perk!

Today I feel is going to be a really great day! I am at work right now, staying pretty busy. I have to write a short paper for class, then I am going to Martini's with a couple new friends, my bible study leader - Joy and Heather, and one of my roommates! I am really excited for this little night out. It will be interesting, but I am excited to see where it leads. I am excited to be making new friends!

Thennnnn tomorrow is the last day of class and also a very very special day. It's me and Brandon's

5 Year Anniversary! Gosh time really does fly when you're having fun! I can't even believe it! We don't really have any plans yet, with the end of the semester winding down we have been busy. But I am so excited for this milestone! F.I.V.E. Y.E.A.R.S. Holy Cow! I can't even believe it! I am beyond happy!
