Stop pacin, time wastin'

I am the BEST procrastinator ever!! 

So sometimes I don't really know what to blog about...  I wish I was full of genius ideas and had the most interesting life so I could just blog all day! But I don't...so I can't.

I am putting off studying for an exam that I have tomorrow, drinking a glass of wine, watching an old episode of Kendra and deciding if I want to dress to pin for chapter or not... 

The school year sure does bring out the best in me...not.  I am wondering why I want to go to grad school..I hate school, I suck at school. humph. 

Tomorrow is going to suck...work from 8:30-3, class from 4:30-7:15  and then working on recruitment stuff until I can't even think straight! Oh the joys of being deemed "creative".  

I have super glue on 4 out of my 10 fingers, it feels weird. 

Alright time to dress for chapter, guess I will dress to pin.

I'm living a teenage dream

I had a GREAT Weekend.

I am in love with the Chicago Skyline.

But now it's back to the hustle and bustle of the week. This week will be pretty packed. I have work, classes, the first chapter of the year (woo!) A TEST (...who the hell gives a test in the first week?) and RECRUITMENT!!!!!! I love recruitment. One week from today we will have little baby Chi Omegas! I can not wait!

AND I HAVE A NEW FAVORITE SONG...aside from Nelly's! Katy Perry's Teenage Dream. Love it. Love her.

I heard it like 2079 times on the radio on my drive back from Chicago. Perfect.

I am making marshmallows tonight....hope it goes well!?!

First day of school outfit!

Haha, had to take a pic and send it to my momma. Then I cried some more. 

But my classes were fine, they might be a little bit of work..but I can do it!

Today is a weird day.

"And today was a day just like any other..."

But it's not.

...warning...this may get wordy...I need to write...

I am in such a weird place right now. I don't know. I have a lot running through my mind...a big thing is school. I thought I was excited for school to start, but I am really nervous. I can not believe it's senior year. I don't know, maybe I am crazy. But I want to be a college kid forever. College is fun, college is comfortable, college is easy(ish). I don't want to be a big kid, I don't want to be in grad school next year...well I do...but I don't. Ya know? I'm just a basket case.

I also have a few other things on my mind...that don't belong on here. Life is so complicated sometimes. I wish it was always easy. I wish decisions were easy to make. I wish I could know the future. I wish I could pray and get an immediate answer. I wish I could see just a ten second clip of where I am going to be in 15 years...

I just want to  know.

I can't believe I am going into my first day of school all cloudy and messed up. I keep crying and I am just in a very weird place. I don't like it.

I even treated myself to a LARGE iced coffee and spent the morning in bed instead of coming to work. I am wearing my favorite ruffled cardgan and my hair kind of looks amazing.

I busted open my best friend this morning...my planner. Duh. I love the school year, because I love my planner. She really is my best friend. Her name is Delilah. Delilah, the Blue Rhapsody Vera Bradley day planner...my heart beats for her.

 

Anyways...on a little bit of a different note, Nelly was my favorite artist back in the day. I had a poster of him on my wall (sexy), had his albums and knew every word to every song...fucking baller. I know. What? You mean..."It must be yo ass cuz it aint yo face I need a tip drill.." are not appropriate lyrics for a 14 year old? haha. But then he fell off the face of the Earth! This morning when I got in my car I heard a new song and instantly knew the voice I was hearing. IT WAS NELLY. Nelly has a new song, and it's perfect. It's called Just A Dream. Listen to it. I'm glad I heard it. I've been playing it all morning. And his album "drops" in November! :)

And finally one of my classes is up on Sakai so I could check the roster. I have CHM300 with like 500 amazing Chi Omegas! Woohoo! So excited now :) Using my planner and having class with my friends are the only things I am excited for. I wish my other classes would go up so I can check them too.

Awesome right? I and I won't even miss any Monday Night Football games. : )  Last fall I had a class that went until 9:00, ugghh I hated that.

Chi Omega Pre-Recruitment 2010 

Last week was a freakin' b.l.a.s.t.  I was super busy and pretty drunk/hungover most of the week, but it was so much fun. I can not believe last week was my last pre-recruitment ever. It's starting to get real, and it's scary. Tomorrow is my first day of class. I am a Senior. I can not believe it. 

It's really emotional.

 I cried on move in day when I was driving to the wedding and saw the long line of cars backed up on the interstate. I had to call my mom. I remember driving to Bradley early Saturday morning; my palms sweatier than usual and hardly saying a word because I knew I was going to cry. Then I got all moved into my dorm and it was sssooo exciting! But them I had to say goodbye to my parents...gosh I am getting teary eyed thinking about it. It was so hard to have them leave me all alone at college...

Goodness. I  am getting so overwhelmed. ANDD my baby brother started college yesterday. It's just crazy.

So when I lived in Chi O I lived with these girls. 

(plus another for a little while....but we dont talk about that.) 

Well today we were hanging out just the 3 of us. Recapping the summer, our love lives and talking about memories (so sweet right?). We then went out to dinner and had to find it ironic that when we lived together we NEVER did anything just the 3 of us. Of course we were all friends, close friends, but when you live with 3 people in one room...things get a little stressful! So we had a good time talking about those days. : )

Anyways...this weekend was a good one! Worked one of my favorite weddings ever! Color scheme of black, white and yellow. With a kick ass photo booth, and the dream team of vendors. We love to talk about those smack faces and people looking a hot mess. We had a lot to talk about, this wedding was very entertaining. Sara and I ventured to the photo booth a few times and got some hilarious pictures. We were both full of energy last night!

&&I got sssooo much done in my room today. Gabs and I put together a bookshelf! It was interesting; but we did it. I even got to lay out and get some sun. tan fat is sexier than pale fat, right?

Pre-Recruitment starts tomorrow. I cannot even believe it. My last pre-recruitment. WEIRD. Gotta get lots of XO lovings in this week!

and Kate is baccckkkkk...all five of us are together! Big Willy is ssooo happy!

Okay, when did August roll in? For real, time seems to be flying lately.

I am sitting here at my desk answering copious amounts of phone calls, wishing I could go home early and play outside or shop or cook ( ; ) ) and squinting my eyes because I slept in my contacts last night and they are ssoo dry! Then I realize...OH MY GOODNESS today is my last day working full time! Yippie! After a very long summer of sitting here at this desk, in my freezing office, it is finally coming to an end.

I  have all of next week off for pre-recruitment and a week of being a hard partying college student (bahah)! Then it's back to school! AH SCHOOL...I thought I just finished school. Didn't I JUST have that horrific COM305 final that made me cry endless amounts? (but then I kicked it's mother fucking ass and got an A+!) But you know, I guess it's okay. It is my senior year after all, my schedule should be pretty alright...eh more like easy-peasy!  I am a little nervous for Chem300. But whatever.

-I can not believe it is August. Soon it's going to be September, then October, then November (&mybirthday..duhh) then December, then 2011!!!!!!

-And it's Friday the 13th! YIKES!

-My bffffff Jessica is flying in from London today and I am sso excited to see her! With both of us being so busy during the school year it is probably the last time I will see her for a while. Tear.

But my first true TV love is Grey's Anatomy. AND SEASON 7 STARTS NEXT MONTH!!!!

I read these awesome spoilers on People dot com and now I am ssuuuppppeeeerrr excited.

 YAY. YAY. YAY.

Saturday when I was at Ikea I bought myself two stalks of lucky bamboo, a vase and some rocks...lol (got a candle and a picture frame too...random). Now they are in my office and look lovely on my desk. I am quite pleased. Even though I am not sure exactly how to take care of them...and I think that they are being stubborn and not drinking their water, what does dying Bamboo look like? humm....not sure.

And say hello to my boys Mr.Saturday and Mr.Addai ...Mr.Manning is on the other side of the screen. He is pointing, it's hot. I can not wait for football to start. Their first preseason game is next sunday! They will be playing the 49ers at the marvelous Lucas Oil Stadium. I can't wait to start rockin my Colts gear again!

Dear Katy Smithy,

I love you more than words. You have been my best friend, partner in crime and coffee mate for the past almost 3 years. I remember the day I met you, I was so mad. I just knew we were going to be enemies, I mean hell we were both competing to be the better wedding planner, and you have your shit together! haha. But little did I know that our first wedding at the Gateway Building would be the start of something very very beautiful. We talked about love and life and some crazy ex-lovers all while setting silverware on tables and chatting with the candy lady. We were a match made in heaven. Then you left me for a whole semester and I was very sad. Then you came back into my life and NOTHING changed! The summer of 2009 was our summer. I will cherish our memories for ever. Singing and dancing...you singing LOUD, me dancing crazily. Laughing and being obnoxious, I love it. I love YOU!

Well, now you have grown up. You are a REAL grown up now. You have a big girl job in the city..IN THE CITY, how cool. You have to wake up at a decent hour (I know that will be hard for you!) like grown ups do. Take the train to work and decorate your cubicle. I am totally jeal.

While I know our friendship is not over...DUH...I am totally going to miss you. I look forward to our hour long phone calls and Sangria nights.

I love lazy days. 

After the long Saturday I had and Wedding Season about to kick off into full swing (until October!) I need a lazy day. It's almost 2:00 and I just got out the shower, I love that! 

Me & Baby Jack when he was 11 months. 

Went to Chicago (Gurnee)  yesterday for baby Jack's 4th birthday! Can't believe he is 4 already! I remember when he was just  a baby! 

But after sitting in traffic for what seemed to be forever we got to Chuck E Cheese! It was fun, there were tons of little kids and I really wanted to take a nap, but it was a good day. 

We even made a pit stop at Ikea on the way home! YAY. I love Ikea! I got a couple little things, it's hard to go crazy when my debit card is lost in the mail. (UGH!) But I got some goodies for my office, will show later. We finally got home around 9:30, and yeah, you better believe I went straight to bed. 

And today I am doing nothing...not one single thing. I watched my boyfriend, Ben Affleck, on TV. Armageddon was on. it makes me cry every single time I watch it, but I love it oh so much! And now I am about to finish up season six of Entourage and maybe watch The Hangover too.  : )

Every time it comes on I can't help but wiggle my hips. And I looooove getting phone calls because it is my ring tone! :) Not sure which I love more my ring tone or text tone, I get a little chuckle every time my phone yells "Lllloyddd!" Oh Entourage, I think you complete me. :)

That sums up my weekend.

It totally kicked some major ass. Aubrey & Matt got married this weekend and they were my first clients all my own! I have worked for So Chic for 3 weddings seasons. It has been so much fun, and I was super excited when Aubrey asked me to help her with her big day! I was so nervous the days before. But once my adrenaline kicked in, I was unstoppable. I got everyone lined up, cued the music, sent everyone down the aisle, straightened the brides train, gave her big smile and said, "you can go now!".

The ceremony was short and sweet, it was really lovely. After the ceremony I cleaned up and headed over to cocktail hour, checked out the reception, drank a much needed Pepsi and waited for the bridal party (who were all so fantastic, helpful, gorgeous, and fun!) to come and get the party started. These people sure do know how to party. The guys had some sweet moves and the parents too!  Every one was so happy. The bride and groom were just radiating happiness and love. It was perfect.

After wearing my close-toed heels for 12 hours my toes were killing me and my perfectly painted toe nails were ruined. Still two days after my toes hurt, well just my big toe (eww...this is so weird, toes, big toes, gross.) but whatever, it is bruised. Can you believe that!

Sonny

I got Sonny back today. Even though I totally loved driving my mom's Sonny this weeked. Her Sonny is new and sporty and has all the fancy features. But I am still happy to have my little lady car back. The final repair bill was $520
