I am not the biggest Nicki Minaj fan...in fact I generally can not stand the weird ways she sings.  But this song is constantly stuck in my head, when it comes on my body just wiggles to it and folks, I am obsessed!

I also recently bought Adele's, 21, and Jason Aldean's, My Kinda Party.
Both albums are incredible and I highly recommend checking them out!

So I've been home...

So I have been home for the past week. Here is my week in pictures.

PLayed with Coop, Mom, and the dogs. 

Coop had his first red pepper...and he looked like a murderer after! 

Planted some pretty flowers in Mom's garden. 

Went to Cocomero.  Cheesecake frozen yogurt with graham cracker pie crumbles, strawberries, kiwi, blackberries and a cherry. Yum! 

I went to work at the flower shop with my momma. De-thorned 275 roses for graduation this weekend.

Made a flower arrangement (daisies) and it is hard! 

Made a second one...getting the hang of it...kind of.

And made a third one.

Making flower arrangements is fun and incredibly hard! It really is an art.  

But that's what I have been up to...not a whole lot but it is also nice to be home and relaxing.

I did it.
I graduated college. I spent four years at Bradley University and I made it through.
I made it through statistics, biology, chemistry, astronomy, sociology and many many communication classes. I made it through two freshman room mates, living in a sorority house with twenty-six girls, living in my first off campus and my second off campus house.  I made it through hard times and good times, sad times and happy times. I made it through a handful of part-time jobs.  I made it through a break up and a wonderful new relationship.

But I could not have done it alone.  I have my incredible parents to thank for supporting me.  I have my mom to thank for always listening while I cried into the phone when my spirits were low and just driving up for lunch some days.  I have my dad to thank for sending me the most amazing care packages stuffed with my favorite snacks.  I have my boyfriend to thank for supporting me through the last year...which was by far the hardest on me emotionally.  And I have the Lord to thank for blessing me with so much.

College was hard.  School has never been my "thing". I am smart but I am also lazy. I get discouraged easily and  too often compare myself to others.  But I DID IT.  And now it is so weird to be a college graduate.
Do I look different? Can people tell I just graduated? It really doesn't matter because it feels really good.

WOW how time just flies! I can not believe it has already been EIGHT days since I graduated!  I have been pretty busy, traveling, packing, moving and relaxing.  So here is what's coming up on Skip To My Lou....

I have done a great job of chasing after my dreams.  I dove head first into becoming a wedding planner.  Then dove head first into checking out grad schools and what it would take to become a high school guidance counselor.  And now I am chasing my dream of moving to Charlotte, NC....the job I want is still TBD. But I have been a dream chaser for the last four years.  Now I need to start doing the second part.  And I found this quote that has really inspired me...It comes at a perfect time too.  Four days before my college graduation.

It's a decision. And I have made it.  I am moving away and I am going to be the person I have always wanted to be.  I am done with letting other people control me.  I have learned through four years of college, through four years of presentations and group projects, through years of being so proud of myself...I am wonderful.  There is no need for me not to know that.  So...here I am starting the life I have always wanted.

Alright....I am slightly embarassed to share this...and because I am terribly excited about it. I GOT A C IN ASTRONOMY!!! Yes, you read that right...and I hope you heard the excitement in my voice. Let me explain... This semester I had a serious case of senioritis.  I was busy working, busy looking for jobs, busy with my other and more important classes. And then there was this class. I signed up for Astronomy thinking it was going to be fun.  In the class description it says we go to the planetarium every Wednesday....can you say SAWEEET!!! But boy oh boy was I wrong, this was the hardest class I have ever take in my life. The stars, the planets, glaxies, ET life...not for me at all.  So I struggled big time.  I really thought I was going to get a D in the class. But by doing all the extra credit I could, I got a C!!! And I don't even have to take the final, thank God.  There is no point in taking the final, I am too far from a B.  But praise the Lord that I will not have a D on my transcripts!

But you also need to take into consideration that I got 3 A's and one grade I have no idea what it's going to be...I'm thinking an A (it's for my screenwriting class). I turn my treatment in tomorrow.  So hopfully I will get 4 A's and 1 C and make Dean's list my last semester! Woohoo!

Wild...and Random

I love the nautical theme here! And she is just gorgeous...incredibly gorgeous!

Have you seen Country Strong yet? If you haven't...DON'T! Ughh..it bothered me.  It was long, pretty slow and the characters were pretty annoying.  Especially Gwyneth's and Tim's...they were hypocrites and terrible.  So see it if you must...but I'm pretty annoyed I wasted four dollars on it.

Anyways...HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!! Jeffrey and I are going to one of my favorite Mexican places for dinner and margaritas tonight in celebration!  

RB Sherbet

I have a sinus infection...it has been a miserable past few days.  Today I took the day off work and relaxed.  And now I am eating Rainbow Sherbet and watching Pregnant in Heels. I would say that is a great ending to a long, boring, lazy day.

A question a day

I am starting to get super frustrated!!
On April 11 I orded this super cool journal.

I ordered it from Borders.com and knew I was going to wait a few weeks because it was on back order...well I am still waiting!
The website says the ship day is/was between April 25-May 9...so I hope they get it back in stock and it ships...I really want to start this puppy with graduation!

So the cool thing about this guy, is it is a five year journal with a question a day.  So on May 14, 2011 I will write something and then on May 14, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015...answering the same question. It will be neat to see how I change in my opinions/outlook and whatever over the years.

And since I am sicky today...I will be treating myself to pizza for lunch! YUMM

Monday Likes/Dislikes

Oh goodness, it's May 2nd already?!? Il tempo vola! (Thanks to my phrase-a-day calender!)

Here is what I am liking today...

• The fact that two weeks from today I will be headed down to Sunny Charlotte, NC with my hunny bee
• Cinnamon flavored iced coffee (with cream and sugar) from DD
• That today is my last day of classes and graduation is in 12 days!!
• That OSAMA BIN LADEN is DEAD!!!! Dead dead dead dead as door nail! It's about freaking time. I hope he rots in hell.
• pintrest.com  OH MY GOD. I am on the waiting list to get an account...a WAITING list. But even without an account I can still spend hours browsing all the gorgeous photos and clever ideas!
• And this..seen on pintrest....duhh. I will for sure want something like this in my house after I get married

And my dislikes...

• Being sick...all I want is my voice back and a nose I can breath out of!
• Girls that sit in chairs backwards...GROSS! Act like a lady!
• Astronomy homework
• Answering the phones at work...with ZERO voice! Ergg
• People hating on the royal wedding....just admit it, you know you loved it!
