Happy Thursday!

Thursday is my favorite day of the week and let me tell you why...

1. My favorite class is on Thursday, BMA 357, Business Leadership. So fun and different and my teacher is so enthusiastic and really loves what she does!
2. My favorite meeting is on Thursday. My meeting with best friend and "boss" Sara, for my wedding planning internship. It is seriously the best hour and half of my week. We just talk, and laugh and sometimes get work done. I love it!
3. My favorite shows are on TV! Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice! <3 I can just get lost in those shows, really helps me to relax and forget about everything.
4. No WORK! Thursday is my only day off work! I love the time to relax and do "me" things

Jake Pavelka

I LOVE the Bachelor, but I also really love Jake. Except he has really been making me mad with his choice of possible ladies! Jake are you seriously in love with Vienna? Really? C'mon Jake, Tenly is your girl!

Well Monday nights are my Bachelor nights, I love them! I impatiently sit through class and come home and watch it! I am obsessed!

Tonight is the women tell all special, it is sure to be interesting! With Rozalyn and Michelle- anything is possible!

So excited! :)


And on a different note, I think my brother is growing a vagina. He got BOTH of his ears pierced recently. I just found out through facebook pictures. I can not believe my father would allow that. I guess I have always wanted a sister. lol.

Motivation?

It has been a pretty lazy weekend. I have been attempting to write my 10 page paper on a speech Lyndon B Johnson gave, but its just not working. Thought it would be kind of easy, I was wrong. Yesterday I got 1 page written, then I decided to take a nap, and watch TV, then shower, then go to the Bradley game with my friends, then hung out with my boyfriend. Thought I would dedicate today to it, well it's almost 3:00 and I have not even looked at the damn thing.... Why am I so lazzzy? I need to get motivated, it's too early to check out.
I keep telling myself if I don't do it now I will be struggling later in the week. I will get stressed out and tired, but for some reason that is not helping.

Well here we go!

Pump Up the Jam!

For Christmas this year my boyfriend got me the most perfect Wii game EVER!! Just Dance.

It is so much fun, and a great work out too! I'm sad to say though that with a busy college and work schedule it gets neglected :(  I think though that when I get home from work today I am going to play! It has one of my all time favorite songs on it, plus this song has the best dance on the whole game, PUMP UP THE JAM! As my babe would say, it's "wicked" awesome! lol.

It's nearly impossible to post pictures when I blog at work. So I'm home and here are some pictures of my weekend in Galena with Brandon.

It was such a fantastic weekend. This week has been so long and frustrating, I just want to go back!!

Just a few thoughts.

1. I wish money grew on trees.
-I try and I try so hard to be good with my money. But it just doesn't happen. I really try so hard, I think I will always fail at balancing my check book and paying bills on time. I am so responsible in every aspect of my life except money. It will haunt me forever.
2. I wish school was easier and 10 page papers didn't exist.
-This ten page paper on Lyndon B Johnson's speech, Let Us Continue, it really going to kick my butt. It is a fantastic speech, http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/lbjletuscontinue.html given after Kennedy was assassinated. Horrible grounds for a speech, but very heartfelt. I'm just not sure if I can write ten pages on it.
3. I wish I was still in the private villa up in Galena with my fantastic boyfriend.
- Galena was FANTASTIC this weekend! I had the best time with the most wonderful boyfriend. Our hotel room got upgraded to a private villa, 931 sq. feet. We were up on cloud nine the whole weekend! A perfect way to spend Valentines day. It's hard be back in reality, back to school, work and an empty bank account. :/
4. What should I do for lent?
- Ahh! Lent starts tomorrow, with Ash Wednesday. I can't think of anything to give up... besides Pepsi, but that would be unfair, because all through I love Pepsi and I can't really function without it, I think I will have to cut my spending down, and cases of Pepsi are just too expensive. SO I think I am going to add something, you can do that you know! I have been thinking that I was to learn more about what it means to be Catholic. I have stood up for this religion for so long, and am trying to convince Brandon that Catholicism is the way to go, but I need to know more about it. I think I am going to devote the next 40 days to learning more about my faith. I will go to church, EVERY WEEK! And I think I am going to read the Bible, and maybe a book on being Catholic. That sounds good to me. Maybe next year, I'll give up my precious Pepsi. :/
5. Goals.
-We are implementing new goals here at work. It's going to be challenging to reach them, but it will be good. Hopefully it will teach me a lot about work ethic, and being a grown up... Because I am almost a grown up.
6. I'm almost a grown up. WHAAAAT!!!
-Only a year and half left of college, well regular college that is. I plan on going to grad school, but who knows. That's a really scary thought for me. REALLY Scary! On my next birthday I will be 22, that's even scarier!!! I have been in a relationship for 5 years, that's unbelievable! Life is fast! I remember turning 10, 13, 16, 18, and now I'm 21! Way to crazy!!

Okay, that's enough. Not like this really gets read, but it's nice to get it out there. Maybe someone is interested.

Oh just waiting...

Ah! I got all cleaned up and packed, got a bunny sitter in order(thanks Katy!) and now I am at work until 11:30 and I am going crazy! I know its not a super exciting tropical vacation, but I cannot wait to get away with Valentine and go skiing! I am really nervous, Brandon has never skied before, and it has been about 3 years since I have been! Let all hope we come back in one piece!

We are staying at a really fabulous resort in Galena, and skiing tonight (woo I love night skiing!) and tomorrow! Then sleeping in and relaxing on sunday and coming home! I am really excited. Brandon needs the time away, he is so busy during the school year.

I just hate sitting here at work, just waiting!

Thursday!

Whew it's Thursday! I still have a lot to do tonight before my weekend getaway with Brandon! I HAVE to clean my room, it has gotten way out of hand!! I am DVRing Grey's so I can watch it later tonight, I just have to get cleaned, and packed and ready to go!

I am so excited to spend Valentine's day with Brandon up in Galena, skiing and having fun! Woo soo excited!

I had to buy new snow pants today...holy tamoley they are expensive. Well not really, but snow pants should not cost $30!! I was angry to have to swipe my card for ugly, unflattering snow pants. humph. But this weekend will be totally worth it!

Found an old friend today on Twitter, well he found me. But still that's exciting. Oh the power of social networking sites.

Almost silly...

I am so excited to have a blog. But I almost feel silly having one. Why do people care what I have to say, well I don't care if they care. I care. I want to write a blog for me. I'm really excited to do so. If people follow it and read it, then great!

So a little explanation, my blog is titled "Skip to my Lou" because Lou-Lou has been my nickname since the day I was born. My whole family, but more importantly my dad calls me Lou Lou, Kati Lou, Louise, or Louie Lou. I love it. I have considered hyphenating my middle name just to make it official. :P

Well today was kind of a crazy day, I had to get up early and drive on the horribly icy roads to Springfield to take the last of my insurance exams! I PASSED! I am a licensed Insurance Producer for the state of Illinois. Kind of crazy!

I have class tonight, and a 10 page paper analyzing a speech due next Wednesday :( That sure will stink. Lyndon B. Johnson, I hope you had some good things to say!
