Old Age

So Brandon got an iPhone. He loves it. I have an iTouch. I love. Downside, mine does not have a camera. Upside, Brandon's does. So DUH I made him buy the aging app. Here is an older me.

HAHA. So gross, right! Brandon pleasantly told me, "Wow, you don't age well!"
He looked  handsom-ish in his aged photo; which he strictly forbade me from putting up on the blog.
Looser.  

Anyway...Yesterday was the WORST day ever. EVER. EVER. I was driving home for lunch, and felt my car being weird. I stopped at the red light right off the interstate and then....silence, and a few of my  check engine, oil, airbag, and other lights came on. And she was gone. Poor little Sonny is at the car doctor again! I don't know how much my little lady can take. I sadly watched as she was towed away. I moped into O'Riely auto parts to buy her a new battery. Eagerly took it to the doctor's hoping that was going to be all she needed. Nope. Doc's not sure, he needs to run some more tests and check it out. Poor little Sonny.

Well then on top of that, my uncle called to tell me Grandma is in the hospital. Luckily it is just minor, but I can't tell my momma until she gets back from Jamaica (which is today!!). Glad I get to see Grandma tomorrow, I miss her. And my mom! YAY both my favorites in one day!

Well there is more to my horrible day. I got Chinese food for dinner, and my fortune cookie said..."Hope for the best, prepare for the worst." ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! C'mon. On an already crappy day I get that kind of a fortune! eyi yi yi!

So yeah, real bad.

Here is to a happy happy Thursday, a safe flight for my parents and a happy ending for Sonny!

Did you know that football season is pretty much my life?

Well it is.

I love that camps are beginning and football news is everywhere! I am huge Indianapolis Colts fan!! I also like a few individual players. I really like the unliked overzealous players... T.O and Chad Ochocinco. I think they are fun to watch, and fun to follow. I think their love of the game, and of attention for that matter, is refreshing (and hilarious). Well as I am doing my morning news check I see that T.O. is joining the Bengals for what will be a very entertaining season. T.O. and Ocho togethe...the NFL better watch out, and the boys better get out their checkbooks, I have a feeling they will be paying off a lot of fines!

Happy 25th wedding anniversary to my fantastic parents!

Hope you are having a wonderful time in Jamaica!

 Yesterday was kind of a crappy day. I woke up feeling really really yucky. I went to work in the grossest outfit, frizzy hair, and mascara. I looked as bad as I felt! Needless to say I did not make it the whole day. I went home at lunch and slept from 2-4:30. It was great...I woke up feeling much better and recharged!

Then I went to dinner with my lovely friends, Sara and Katy to have a 'good-bye' dinner for Katy. :(  

Katy got a job up in Chicago! YAY for her, sad for us.

The twinies came back from Vegas and brought me back some "escort" (hooker) cards and this coffee mug from the Bellagio! YAY I love coffee mugs. You know how people that travel a lot have that thing they always get when they go somewhere? Like some families get magnets or picture frames, t-shirts? Well I think my thing will be coffee mugs! I love them! Thanks Friends!

Pierced!

My best friend Jessica came to visit this weekend, and it was such a blast!! Friday we were out to dinner, and kept looking at her cartilage piercing... I have wanted to get mine done for a while, but was always to chicken! I had the very top of my ear pierced, but it never healed properly so after a couple of years I took it out. So Saturday morning we got up went to the mall and pierced my ear! Woohoo! I kind of felt like a rebel, because no one except Jessica knew I was getting it done! But I love it, and I am glad I did it. It is pretty tender though, and it's hard only sleeping on my right side, I am a left side sleeper!

Happy Happy Friday!

Do you know the BEST way to start off the day? And no, I am not talking morning sex boyfriend! I am talking about GIRL TALK (Night Ripper, best album everrr) playing loudly through my iHome, a cup of coffee and some pretty perfume!

Okay, so yeah I had a pretty awesome morning and it has got me pumped for the day!

Girl Talk's Night Ripper is my "go-to" get excited music. I was feeling extra tired this morning and needed to get pumped up for my Friday! So I put on some Girl Talk, turned the volume up loud, stayed in my panties and cami and danced while I got ready! Again, there is seriously nothing better than dancing in cute panties while getting ready! I spritzed on my 2nd favorite perfume, YSL's Parisienne (1st favorite is Tocca Giulietta) and drank my delicious coffee! Yes, it was a perfect morning and I am in such a great mood!

I am so excited too, because Jessica is coming to visit today!!!!! She got back from her time as a CHWC Staffer on Wednesday and I can not wait to have a girls night! :)

And 4 months from today my time as a 21 year old will be over...I WILL BE 22! HOLY COW does time fly. I can not believe it. My baby brother will be 19 next Wednesday and my parents will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on Tuesday! And uggghhh I am so jealous, right now my parents are relaxing on the beach in Jamaica!!!!! They deserve it though, happy *almost anniversary!

Check out my sweet ride! On Wednesday I got  this pretty cool rental car, so Sonny could go to the shop and get all fixed up!

While I do love my Sonny (kind of) I reallllly love this new one. It is a 2010 Nissan Altima, it has keyless entry and ignition! It rides like a dream, and is such a pretty blue color. Which hard to see from my poor quality phone pic.

Tonight, I am going to do something really nice for my boyfriend, he deserves it. I have been having a bad week and I have kind of been taking it out on him. He deserves nothing but the best, so I'm gonna do what I can. Good thing he doesn't read my blog, or it would give away the surprise!

And I have not done very good at eating healthier or workingout. I have been eating more fruit, but still eating everything else. Gahh!


Anywho, I am super excited for this weekend, two of my best buddies, Mark & Jon (twins!) (John is in the purple shirt if u click the link!) are turning 21 on Sunday! I am so excited to be able to celebrate with them! :) It will be so much fun!

TODAY IS THE DAY!

Today marks the day, and I am VERY serious when I say this, I am getting my body back!

After having a few rambling conversations with Brandon and my mom about the extra 12 (eerrr 14) pounds that have made them selves at home on my little body it took a conversation with my beeeest friend, Jessica, to finally get motivated to loose this weight! I guess being the true best friends we are, Jessica has found herself with a few extra pounds as well. So together, via text messages and phone calls we are going to be workout/motivation/healthy eating buddies! I am pumped!

....So of course I had to indulge my self last night. We had Chinese for dinner, yummm! Well I pretty much only like Americanized Chinese food, so I got Delicious Teriyaki Chicken on a stick (food on a stick is just great, pure genius!) and some yummy chicken fried rice, which I of course doused in soy sauce. So today, I am working harder. I had a mango and pretzels (only 22, like the serving size suggested) and I am on my 2nd bottle of water. And I will be making Brandon accompany me on a run this evening.

I hate being fat, I love being skinny! So skinny here I come!

The perfect weekend!

Yes, this weekend was perfect!

Brandon had the whole weekend off, so that meant lots of time to play! It also happened to be Greek Weekend! We had lots of friends in town, and for once we got to act like crazy college kids! Friday we drank too much which resulted in a huugggge bruise/cut on the back of my leg. It also made us very very hungry the next day. I swear I ate 4x the healthy amount of food. We ate out for every meal, and had to eat everything in sight. It was disgusting, but totally awesome!

Besides eating everything in Peoria; Saturday we had some delicious spiked watermelon balls I crafted up, enjoyed the beautiful weather, took a lovely nap, and played with our friends some more! :)

After a crazy two days Sunday, I woke up feeling real crappy. Which put a damper on our plans to visit my Grandma. Should have known with it being Greek weekend we would totally not feel up for the 4 hour drive. I will see her at the end of July, so all is well. Grandma understood. With the whole day now to ourselves, we lounged around for a while, made some breakfast...then decided it was time for me to make the big purchase I have been wanting to make for a while now. I finally bought an Ipod Touch!! Wooohooo! It sucked running my debit card through the machine and saying arrivederci to my hard earned denaro. But I had the money and was ready to have a fun new toy! I played with it all day and I have so many cool apps (YAY for Apps!) and games and all my music! I just love it!

*They even have an OPI app! I had to get it...duhh!!!

After hours of figuring out my toy, and having a super stiff neck!  I made the best dinner ever. Yes, I am going to brag on myself for a moment. Because this dinner was killer, it was so delish! I made teriyaki marinated chicken breasts...(hugggh chicken breasts.) I also made green beans and noodles!

The chicken and that marinade, to die for. So good!

This is the marinade, it was so simple, just throw the meat in the bag, and let it do its thing. I let it sit for 1 hour. It was so good!

SO GOOD!

*I love the phrase, SO GOOD! It's just SO GOOD!

Okay so anyways...Brandon and I have a new obsession. Entourage. We started watching season one 2 Sunday's ago and now we are totally engulfed. We started and finished disk one (
episodes 1-4) of season 3 last night and I can not wait to finish it! The show is so hilarious, uncensored, free and real. I love it. I can not pick which character is my favorite because they all rock.


Brandon's fish, Marco, is now swimming in gold fish heaven. RIP little guy. We are big kids, we should have known you wouldn't last. But we loved you anyways.


Speaking of animals...yesterday was Coopers adoption anniversary! We have had him for one year. I love him so much! Sometimes Brandon and I just have to laugh out loud about how funny it is that we have a bunny hopping around the house. He is crazy and so fun, we love it. Happy day!

Today I am going to have a meeting with MY bride! Yepp, mine! You know I have a wedding planning internship, with the best darn wedding planning company everr! I was given the opportunity through that to coordinate a wedding of my very own! Luckily the bride is a friend from college, so some pressure is off because I know her quite well! I am nervous, but very excited! Tonight we are meeting to tie up some loose ends and being the countdown to her July 31st wedding!

And one more thing...my nails and toes are freshly painted with OPI's Pampalona Purple. My new favorite color.  I want everything in the world to come in this color. Might be a loooong while before I switch out this color!

This 4th of July weekend was a great one! 

(Though it does not compare to the last, when Brandon and I were enjoy the beach in South Carolina.)

I got to enjoy Saturday with my family in Indiana and hang out on the lake and get some gooood sun! I got to be with my cousin who is going to be a mommy in February! I am so excited for her and her husband, they will make fantastic parents! 

In the car ride home I was asking my parents about their grandparents and I found out that my dad has 125 cousins!! How insane is that? His dad had 14 brothers and sisters that all went on to have big families! So crazy. I can not even imagine. 

Yesterday was spent with Brandon and his family. We went to the Hopedale carnival, and that was fun. Our buddy Jonathan came along too!

After spending the day in Hopedale we drove down to Urbana and went to Brandon's dad's cookout! It was great to see his dad, eat some more yummy food and watch fireworks! We also stopped at Marry Ann's for some delicious midnight food! I had a great 4th of July! I am so lucky to have a great family, boyfriend, friends and country!  

Here is to a day spent on the couch, and watching Entourage as soon as Brandon gets back from work!
