Dreaming of a winter somewhere less brutal

So I know I say it almost every blog post...but I really do think I am the luckiest girl in the world to have such a fantastic boyfriend!

He made me a delicious dinner the other night.

The picture may not do it justice, but boy o boy was it scrumptious!

He made me flank steak marinated in something uber yummy.

And mashed potatoes..those were a little funky, but I still had two servings. :p

Thank you Jeffrey for slaving away in the kitchen to make me a wonderful dinner.

You certainly are the best.

I'm already on my third cup of coffee this morning.

The phones won't stop ringing

Tons of work to do and an afternoon meeting...

What a busy break this has been.

School starts next Wednesday, don't think I am feeling up for it yet.

Oh well.

Happy Happy Summer!

Today I am in a super great mood...maybe because I had a fantastic weekend and I have the greatest boyfriend in the world!

This weekend I went home for father's day to be with the BEST day in the universe! I love my dad more than I could ever explain! We went to the St.Louis Zoo and had a great day! Even though It was reallllly hot! My family loves the zoo. And I made them be dorky with me! We wore our animal hats...all day! It was incredibly ridiculous, but super fun! We got some funny looks, some complements and we even got made fun of in a foreign language! I love that my family can be dorky with me. Even my brother rocked his hat all day! A  family picture and more picture of the day will come soon!

I also got to have a really nice and much needed chat with my best friend Jessica! She is out in Colorado right now, on CHWC staff and I miss her sssooo much! I was glad to be able to chat with her for a while! Can't wait to see her when she gets back!

And have I mentioned how much my boyfriend rocks? Well he does. Friday and today he has brought me Dunkin' Donuts Ice Coffee and a donut to work! :) He knows how to keep his girl happy.

Today officially marks the FIRST DAY OF SUMMER! And this is what my week will *hopefully* look like...

-Jillian Michael's yoga...everyday. I promise!

-Going to the driving range with Brandon...we are gonna take up the sport of golf.

-Finishing up my room! I have technically lived in my new house since May 31....but just started unpacking Saturday! Need to get that done!

So I did not get that much studying done last night. But I did have a fantastic evening. Due to the hectic-ness of finals and work and life, I had not seen my boyfriend since SATURDAY! We went 3 whole days apart...lol. Silly I know, but it seemed like a lifetime. So yesterday he completed his finals and offered to take me out. Being the crazy girl I am, said YES! So I put my books aside and we went to dinner. To Buffalo Wild Wings, we needed beer. We had so much fun. If I could stand to do it I would not see Brandon for 3 days at a time all the time! We just had so much to talk about and share with each other. And that first hug and kiss were perfect! Gosh it seemed like we were apart for ages! ha. I am so ridiculous. Then we went back to his house and he watched the Black Hawks game with a couple friends while I looked over my notes.

So while yesterday was fantastic, and much needed, I am feeling the pressure of one: still being at work today while I have a final tonight, and two: trying to cram in some studious activity. I am a little more than nervous!

I did figure though that I need A's on both my paper and my final to get an A in the class. Since there are only 4 assignments and 400 points I need to do pretty well. One bad-ish grade could send me far away from the A I want. We'll see if I get it or not.

I can't wait to be done.


And its raining and my umbrella is in my car. What good is an umbrella in the car? None!

THIS weekend!

This weekend was a blast! I was up in Lake Geneva for Sigma Chi Formal.

Lake Geneva is beautiful...we stayed at The Grand Geneva which was probably far too classy for the frat guys and all the drinking that was going on. I would totally go back though, it was wonderful. Plus they had "sheet sandwiches"  a sheet sandwich is Brandon and I's favorite thing ever...we discovered it in Charleston this summer. It's a sheet, then a down comforter then another sheet! It's so crisp, cool and cozy...AAHH i love it! So we were happy with that!

We spent most of the weekend down at the indoor pool...since we were in Wisconsin it was pretty chilly out. The pool was fun.

 I have decided I need to start working out. immediately. There is a yoga video I want to get. It's like power yoga, something. Ill try it out.

Brandon and I really  had a great time hanging out with some of our best friends and just being college kids. We had no worries and no responsibilities. It was a nice break from the hell of school winding down.

The only bad thing about being gone for a whole weekend was having to leave Cooper behind. My house mate Kristi was Coop's bunny sitter. I missed him so much and was really happy to see him when I get back. He really needs a friend. He was too bored all weekend.

After I get off work my weekend begins! My classes for tonight and tomorrow have been cancelled and I get the next two days off work! How do three different classes get cancelled in the same week? It's crazy! But I am not complaining!


Friday I leave for Lake Geneva for Sigma Chi Formal! It's going to be a great weekend with my babe and some really fantastic guys...including my number 2 - Gus and my Ginger loves - Mark and Jon plus some really cool girls - Jenny and Kaitlyn! I am pretty excited, lets hope the drama is kept at a minimum!


Ps--- I am a total *Gleek and I loved the episode last night! Hello by Lionel Richie might be my new favorite song! ....And I am getting another hair cut tomorrow. Nothing ever pleases me! lol

Yesterday was Brandon's 21st Birthday!

It started out to be a really crappy day. Brandon locked himself out of his room and locked his phone, clothes, shoes inside. He was angry. He tried busting off the door knob (boys, they do things like that) but it just made the situation worse. So we drove home. Angry. Then Brandon got a ladder and his dad's truck and drove back to Peoria, it's now like 6:00 pm. Remember I couldn't pick him up until 1:00. So he climbs up the ladder and into his second story window. When he gathers his belongings and gets back in the truck, BUPD stop him and question why he was climbing into a window. Remember Bradley is on spring break, so not many people are left on campus. I guess it was legit for the cops to stop him, but they questioned him for 40 minutes, and Brandon just does not have that kind of tolerence, especially since he was already having a crappy day! But he made it back, ate dinner and cake with his family then came to my house for presents!

My parents got him an outfit and a case of our favorite, Bud Light Bottles! (Eli wanted in on the fun too!)

Well after presents, we ventured to a bar in our town and had a few drinks. Mom bought us Goldschlager shots, and OH MY GOD IT WAS SO GOOD! I don't normally take shots, because I am just a little girl, but this was so good! I was feeling it too! We had alot of fun hanging out with my parents. I have really amazing parents!

At the end of the day it was a pretty good birthday.

And this morning, I vomited (I didn't even vomit on my own birthday!) and then we went to our favorite little diner, Merry-Ann's and got big plates of slop! It acutally made me feel worse, but it was good!

 I am so excited for Brandon to finally be 21! Not like we are big drinkers...considering I was drunk off one shot and two fruity mixed drinks...but I am sure we have many wonderful adventures ahead of us!

It's nearly impossible to post pictures when I blog at work. So I'm home and here are some pictures of my weekend in Galena with Brandon.

It was such a fantastic weekend. This week has been so long and frustrating, I just want to go back!!

Oh just waiting...

Ah! I got all cleaned up and packed, got a bunny sitter in order(thanks Katy!) and now I am at work until 11:30 and I am going crazy! I know its not a super exciting tropical vacation, but I cannot wait to get away with Valentine and go skiing! I am really nervous, Brandon has never skied before, and it has been about 3 years since I have been! Let all hope we come back in one piece!

We are staying at a really fabulous resort in Galena, and skiing tonight (woo I love night skiing!) and tomorrow! Then sleeping in and relaxing on sunday and coming home! I am really excited. Brandon needs the time away, he is so busy during the school year.

I just hate sitting here at work, just waiting!

Whew it's Thursday! I still have a lot to do tonight before my weekend getaway with Brandon! I HAVE to clean my room, it has gotten way out of hand!! I am DVRing Grey's so I can watch it later tonight, I just have to get cleaned, and packed and ready to go!

I am so excited to spend Valentine's day with Brandon up in Galena, skiing and having fun! Woo soo excited!

I had to buy new snow pants today...holy tamoley they are expensive. Well not really, but snow pants should not cost $30!! I was angry to have to swipe my card for ugly, unflattering snow pants. humph. But this weekend will be totally worth it!

Found an old friend today on Twitter, well he found me. But still that's exciting. Oh the power of social networking sites.
